This is a hand-painted Kutani Yaki Yoshidaya style with the ground filled with yellow.
The camellia blooms all year round, but it looks even more magnificent at New Year's. 

It can also be used as a container for sweets at tea ceremonies. It's a beautiful bowl with legs, so it looks great and is a good gift.
